What you can expect
Live Race Tracking in the Race Viewer
Watch races unfold in real time with smooth, interactive maps showing every boat’s position and performance. Follow the whole fleet or focus on individual boats to explore the detail that matters most.
Performance Data – Explained Simply
The TracTrac App displays key sailing metrics that show not just where boats are, but how well they are sailing:
COG (Course Over Ground) – The true direction a boat is travelling across the water, accounting for wind, tide, and leeway.
Heading – The direction the bow is pointing, helping reveal tidal influence when compared to COG.
SOG (Speed Over Ground) – The boat’s actual speed across the ground, including tidal effects.
VMG (Velocity Made Good) – How efficiently a boat is sailing toward the next mark.
DTL (Distance to Line) – Displays each boat’s distance to the start line at 00:00. Boats behind the line appear in green, while boats over the line are shown in red, giving an immediate, objective view of the start.
Distance to First – Shows how far each boat is behind or ahead of the race leader.
Overall Race Distance – The total distance sailed by each boat during the race.
Places Gained & Lost – Tracks position changes throughout the race, highlighting key moments of progress or loss.
