The DIY option is designed for event organisers who want full control of their GPS tracking while keeping costs down — with expert support always close at hand.

With DIY booking, TracTracUK supplies the GPS tracking units on a hire basis for your event, along with wireless charging mats to keep everything powered and ready to go. You manage the setup and operation on the day, using our proven tools and resources.

You’ll receive full access to the TracTrac Event Manager platform, giving you control over:

  • Event setup and configuration

  • Device allocation

  • Live tracking display

  • Results, replays and post-event analysis

To help you get up and running quickly, we provide step-by-step YouTube tutorials covering setup, best practice and common workflows. These are supported by remote assistance from the TracTracUK team, should you need help before or during the event.

What You Manage

As part of the DIY option, the event organiser is responsible for:

  • Event setup within the Event Manager (with guidance provided)

  • Distributing and collecting GPS units from competitors

  • Switching units on and checking charge levels

  • Basic on-the-day operation and monitoring

  • Returning the units after the event
