TracTrac Race Management Tools

Precision. Confidence. Control — from course setup to final results.

TracTrac’s Race Management Tools are designed to give race teams complete confidence in their course, their starts, and their results. Using high-accuracy GPS tracking units and powerful race management software, race officials can manage every stage of a race with clarity and precision.

Course Layout & Mark Positioning

Setting a fair and accurate course has never been easier.

Using TracTrac GPS units, the race team can:

  • Lay out the race course with confidence

  • Check and verify the exact position of every race mark

  • Monitor mark locations in real time to ensure the course remains true throughout the race

The Race Viewer displays live distance and bearing information to every mark, allowing the race team to fine-tune the course and ensure it is as good as it gets before the start sequence begins.

Start Line Control & OCS Identification

The TracTrac Race Management Tools bring clarity and fairness to the start.

At the moment of the start:

  • The system calculates the Distance to Line using Start Line Control for every competitor

  • A live leaderboard instantly identifies boats that are OCS (On Course Side)

  • A clear list of all competitors’ DTL at the gun is available for review

This removes uncertainty, supports confident decision-making, and provides transparent data should any start-line queries arise.

Finish Line Officiating

Finishing a race is just as important as starting it correctly.

Using the Race Management App, the race team can:

  • Monitor competitors as they approach the finish line

  • Confirm and approve the finishing order in real time

  • Ensure accurate and fair finish recording, even in close finishes

The system supports the race team, rather than replacing them — combining human judgement with reliable GPS data.

Results & Post-Race Export

Once racing is complete, TracTrac makes results handling simple.

  • The final leaderboard is available immediately after the race

  • Results can be exported directly into Sailwave, streamlining scoring and publication

No manual re-entry, no guesswork — just clean, reliable race data ready for results processing.
